Please review the following policies before scheduling services with TrueComfort Labs. By scheduling an appointment, patients acknowledge and agree to the policies listed below.
Appointment Policy Patients must schedule appointments in advance and provide valid lab orders. TrueComfort Labs requires all appointments to be scheduled online or by phone. Patients must have a valid laboratory order before the appointment. Same-day appointments may be available depending on availability. Appointments will be confirmed by TrueComfort Labs the day before the scheduled appointment.
Cancellation & No-Show Policy Please provide at least 24 hours notice for cancellations. Late cancellations or missed appointments may incur a fee. If a patients misses an appointment or cancels late, a cancellation fee may apply. If the phlebotomist arrives and the patient is unavailable, the appointment may be considered a no-show. This policy helps us maintain timely service for all patients.
After-Hours Service Policy Patients may schedule after-hours appointments. Additional fees may apply. True Comfort labs offers evening, weekend, and holiday appointments based on availability. Patients selecting the after-hours option during booking will be informed of additional fees prior to confirmation.
Travel Fee Policy Travel fees may apply for locations outside the standard service area. TrueComfort Labs provides mobile phlebotomy services within a designated service area. Patients scheduling appointments outside the standard area may select the extended travel option during booking. Additional travel charges will be disclosed before confirmation.
Payment Policy Payment is due at the time of service unless prior arrangement are made. TrueComfort Labs accepts credit/debit cards and Apple Pay. Laboratory testing fees are billed separately by the designated laboratory if applicable. Payment is expected at the time of the blood draw unless other arrangements are made.
Lab Orders & Patient Preparation Patients myst provide valid lab orders and follow preparation instructions. All blood draws require a valid physician or healthcare provider lab order. Patients are responsible for following any preparation instructions, such as fasting or hydration, to ensure proper specimen collection. Improper preparation may result in rescheduling.
Specimen Handling Policy All specimens are collected and transported according to proper guidelines. TrueComforts Labs follows industry standards for specimen collection, labeling, storage, and transportation. Specimens are promptly delivered to the designated laboratory to maintain integrity and accuracy.
Safety Policy Appointments may be rescheduled if the environment is unsafe. TrueComfort Labs reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service if the collection environment is unsafe. This includes unsafe surrounding, aggressive animals, or inadequate workspace. This policy ensures the safety of both patients and phlebotomists.
Privacy & HIPAA Policy Patient information is kept confidential in compliance with HIPAA. TrueComfort Labs protects patient privacy and handles all personal and medical information in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Information is used only for the purpose of providing healthcare services and laboratory processing.
Minors Policy Patients under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present. A parent or legal guardian must be present for patients under 18 years of age. this ensures consent and proper communication during specimen collection.
Lab Result Policy TrueComfort Labs does not interpret lab results. Collected specimens are transported to the laboratory. Results are provided by the ordering healthcare provider or laboratory. TrueComfort Labs does not provide medical advice or interpretation of lab results.
Liability Disclaimer TrueComfort Labs is not responsible for laboratory processing or interpretation. TrueComfort Labs provides specimens collection and transportation only. We are not responsible for delays, processing errors, or interpretation buy third-party laboratories. Any questions regarding lab results should be directed to the ordering provider or laboratory.
Difficult Draw Policy Some blood draws may be challenging. Additional attempts may incur a fee. While our trained phlebotomists make every effort to successfully obtain a specimen, certain factors such as dehydration, difficult veins, or medical conditions may make collection challenging. If a speciment cannot be obtained after reasonable attempts, the appointment may be discontinued for the safety of the patient. In such cases, the service fee may still apply due to time and travel.
Policy Updates TrueComfort Labs may update policies at any time. TrueComfort Labs reserves the right to modify or update these policies at any time. Updated policies will be posted on this website. Patients are encouraged to review policies periodically to stay informed.
